About the Evanston Summer Solstice Jam

Celebrate the longest day of the year with Climate Action Evanston! Set to the percussive beats of local musicians, this unique theatrical event of fire performers will truly be a marvel to behold. Throughout the summer, Full Moon Jam hosts volunteer-run, not-for-profit, performances for the public during every full moon and the summer solstice. At this family-friendly event, alcohol, illegal substances, open flames, fireworks, flash photography, lasers or drones are not permitted. As always, leave no trace!

About Full Moon Jam

Chicago Full Moon Jam began in 2004 as a group of friends coming together on the lakefront to celebrate a birthday with some fire spinning and drumming. By 2016 it had become an Illinois non-profit foundation reaching out to spectators through monthly summer Full Moon Jam events combining drumming and fire dancing performed on the shores of Lake Michigan, including being part of Chicago's Night Out in the Parks event series.
